4 simple planting steps
Step 1: Treat the seeds
- Soak the seeds in warm water (2 parts boiling to 3 parts cold) for 4–6 hours to encourage germination.
- Drain and let dry before sowing.
Step 2: Soil treatment
- Use loose, well-drained soil mixed with organic compost or worm castings for added nutrients.
- Level the soil surface and lightly moisten before planting.
Step 3: Sowing in the soil
- Sow seeds directly into the soil, either scattered or in rows spaced 10–15cm apart.
- Cover lightly with soil and mist with water to keep moist.
Step 4: Care and Harvest
- Water 1–2 times daily to keep the soil moist but not soggy.
- Harvest after 25–30 days by cutting at the base or picking leaves as needed.
